Portraits of American Historical Figures

About this series
Shitu tells documented turning points in the lives of historical figures connected with American history, using their own memoirs, diaries, letters or verified oral accounts. The opening group also includes people whose lives crossed the Atlantic and the wider Americas. Their different histories should not be mistaken for a single nationality.
Each Chinese story has a complete English edition. The narratives are contemporary works by Shitu, prepared with AI assistance and checked against identified sources; they are not personal submissions by the historical figures. Source editions, rights and editorial qualifications are placed in the notes at the end of each language version.
